FAQ's -MBA (Executive) TM

  • What value addition will this course offer to my current technical profile?
    MBA executive education from SITM certainly adds value to a candidate's career. For candidates aspiring to pursue an MBA (Executive) TM programme, many will have absolute goal clarity in mind. The particulars of these goals may differ among candidates; however career advancement, certainly be a priority on their agenda. This may not essentially be in the form of a promotion, but rather in terms of gaining knowledge and skills as well as to understand the business better, perhaps start up, or grow an entrepreneurial venture, or simply to become a better manager.

  • Why should I join an MBA (Executive) TM programme specific to only Telecom Management?
    A comprehensive program covering contemporary ICT & analytics concepts in a 5 semester schedule spread over 30 months.
    SITM has association with IBM in terms of Analytics Lab. We have IBM Analytics lab. In the Executive program we have introduced courses on analytics such as Introduction to Business Intelligence (Semester 2), Business Analytics (Semester 3), and Telecom Analytics (Semester 4). In Semester 1 two basic courses i.e. Business Statistics and Research Methodology are taught which are useful in learning analytics courses.
    Thus we are focusing on ICT as well as Analytics for this batch along with managerial perspective.

  • I have over 3 years work experience but I will be completing my graduation this year. Please let me know whether I am eligible for the course? 
    No, you are not eligible as you must have minimum 3 years work experience after graduation.

  • I am an E & TC graduate and have been working in a telecom company for last 2 and half years, can I be considered for admission? 
    To be eligible for admission for the course you should have completed 3 years work experience after your graduation before the commencement of the course.

  • I have completed my graduation through a correspondence course. Am I eligible for the course? 
    NO. Candidates pursuing degree examination by part time / correspondence course are not eligible for the course.

  • I have to go to office on Saturdays and can therefore come only on Sundays; I want to apply for the course in case I am permitted to come only on Sundays?
    The learning environment is extremely flexible however as per the attendance rules laid down by the university minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to appear for the semester exams.

  • If I enrol for the programme, will I be entitled for placements?
    This is a weekend programme for working professionals. We offer ample opportunities for networking along with an exposure to our strong alumni data base, holding senior and middle management positions in Top MNC’s which can be leveraged.

  • After enrolling for the programme, If I get an onsite opportunity how do I cope with the programme schedule? 
    In case of an onsite opportunity we would require some important official documents from your HR confirming your visit duration. In case you miss out on the evaluation components we will take up the issue on an individual case basis.

  • If I take a drop due to circumstances and wish to re-join the course at a later date, is it permitted? 
    In such cases you will have to abide by university rules.

  • What are the documents that I am required to submit?
    You would be required to submit the following documents when you come for PI :
    a. Attested Copies of your 10th, 12th and Graduation Certificates along with the mark sheet.
    b. Work experience certificate.

  • What is the admission procedure and eligibility criteria?

    Eligibility-
    1. Bachelor's degree from any statutory/recognized University with minimum of 50% marks
    2. Minimum of three year work experience after graduation.
