Individual Session - “Telecommunications: Emerging Trends, Opportunities and IT Transformation.”

The session revolved around the four gradients related to the Telecom Field: Transformation, Convergence, Smart Grid and Cloud Computing. The pointof discussions included Key Business Drivers for Telecom Operator Transformation, complexity of Telecom Field with respect to the IT Field.

The discussion provided insights on Emerging Trends in BI, Empowering Business through Analytics, BI Objectives. The questions put forward to the panel were on Social Business Intelligence. Then the discussion headed towards the proliferation of the BI Model which is moving from stand alone model to the web-based model which will increase the penetration to a large extent. The Panel Discussion was indeed a knowledgeable session where students got an opportunity to have an insightful discussion with the speakers.

Individual Session - “IT is now built differently, operated differently and consumed differently”
Sir discussed about how IT is built as dynamic pools of fully virtualized resources, how it is used as an end to end service as against individual technology specialties and how easy it has become today to use IT as models for IT users as well as IT organizations .

The discussion provided insights on the Ecosystem of the MVAS, Utility Services from VAS and CSP point of view.The discussion was then carried forward on m-payment solutions and its technology architecture and m-entertainment.
